Hussein Fares Tarabia is a Syrian-Norwegian multidisciplinary artist, born in Sweida, Syria, who primarily works with abstract and conceptual art. He earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Damascus University in 2011. Between 2011 and 2015, Tarabia lived between Damascus and Beirut, participating in various theatrical productions as a puppet maker and scenographer. In 2015, he moved to Norway, where he has been residing ever since. Currently, he works as a scenery carpenter and painter at the National Theatre (Nationaltheatret) in Oslo. Tarabia has exhibited his work across the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. Spanning abstract painting to kinetic sculpture, his art continuously evolves across different mediums. Currently based in Oslo.
